Two Different Paths, One Shared Belief
AI Business Consultants LLC was built by two people who came to the same conclusion from opposite directions: AI is only useful to a business when someone translates it into plain, practical action.
Melanie Scherfer Lobel spent her career on the operational side of business — corporate production management at Weyerhaeuser, high-performance sales at Polaroid, and more than 17 years building and running her own luxury landscape design company. That combination gave her a grounded, no-nonsense view of what actually moves a business forward: clear systems, strong client relationships, and disciplined execution. When she started exploring AI tools for her own business, she noticed the same pattern over and over — the technology worked, but almost nobody was explaining it in a way a business owner could act on.
Diego Nicholas came at the same problem from the education and sales side. As an AI educator and consultant, he spent his time watching individuals and teams get overwhelmed by AI not because the tools were too hard, but because no one had broken them down into steps tied to a real business outcome — more productive workflows, stronger sales systems, better decision-making. He kept seeing the same gap Melanie saw, just from a different seat.
That shared observation is why AI Business Consultants exists. We are not software developers selling a platform, and we are not a generic marketing agency bolting "AI" onto a pitch deck. We are consultants and educators first — people who sit down with a business, understand how it actually runs, and then recommend and implement the AI tools that will move the needle, with training built in so your team can run it long after we've handed over the keys.
